The tree of shame is made up of parts by bikes and cars that have crashed/run off the road on the tail of the dragon, which seems to happen relatively often, but not everyday, the road is very popular with motorcycles although the speedlimit is 35mph (56kph) it's very common to speed on this road, there are turnouts/pullouts along the road for slower moving vehices to let the "speed demons" pass, not everyone use them though, we got stuck behind a motorcycle who refused to move on our last run
