Top of the rock
Martin and Grant taking pictures of Manhattan
We had heard/read that the view from the top of the rock was a whole lot greater than the view from Empire State Building so we decided to go here, we just showed up yesterday and realized we should've booked tickets for a specific time, the waiting line was loooong, we decided to book tickets for today instead, which worked pretty well.
the site tells you that you're not allowed to bring a tripod, the guards says so too, but if you put them on the ledge, you're fine, they don't say anything then.
We purchased our tickets for 6:55pm-7:10pm (18:55-19:10), we paid $58 for two tickets.
while taking pictures we started talking to Grant and David, Grant is a professional photographer and we got along quite well, we ended up having dinner with them down the street.
there is no time limit to how long you can stay once you've entered, at least none that we were told about, we stayed for about five hours.
