Manhattan
We stayed for hours, doing long exposures and some long exposure-timelapsing, while we were doing this with our tripods setup some random german(?) dude really REALLY liked our angle so what he did was "crawl" under our tripods, (and remember we'd put them up on the ledge) to get a shot he was somewhat happy with, he bumped the tripod slightly, ruining the shots and he didn't say anything he seemed annoyed about not having brought the right equipment, his wife wanted to leave, but didn't want to say anything, so they stayed for a while, but not as long as us.
that was the one bad experience while we were up there, we helped a lot of people get the shots they wanted, we told people to not use flash and rather use light instead, so of course we helped them with that and shot pictures for them (group shots and the like), it was quite fun, and we were pretty sure they appreciated it a lot.
a lot of people had DSLR's and the camera is quite often very able to capture the shot the owner/user want it's just a matter of getting the settings right.
