I had read that White Sands National Park closes, and that the time it closes varies, it is usually a while after sunset, as we entered the park there was a sign stating the time of closure for the day which was a while after sunset, so I had been waiting in the car to go back up see the sunset, and it was a very interesting experience, it got really quiet and the landscape completely changed once the sun had set
