we are traveling by car from Colorado, we are going to essentially do a large circle where we return to Colorado for our flight back home.
we will be visiting a lot of National Parks and Monuments, our first few stops have been planned out well, but after that we will see where we end up, our plan is to revisit some of the same places from the 2014 trip
our first week will be Rocky Mountain National Park, Grand Teton National Park and Yellowstone National Park

gps data was recorded on-device or by our phones this time we did not use an external gps recorder for that, sometimes the gps data might be off by quite a bit.

roadlapse:
there was supposed to be footage of our drive, like there has been for previous years, unfortunately, the harddrive was forgotten at a hotel and either the staff or the next guest stole it, so almost all footage from the road has been lost.
some photos were copied to the other drive so there might be gopro pictures in places but it is just that single frame.
the last few days were still on the memory cards so they will be edited and uploaded, this might take some time.
the hotel has been contacted multiple times but claims none of their staff has seen it, and that the next guest didn't find it either, it is difficult to know who is lying.
