when we visited Mesa Verde National Park a few days ago we were unaware of the fact that the park closes, and that Spruce Tree House had been closed for years, we were also unaware of the fact that these tours have to be book in advance, so we made sure to book the first available tour, and Balcony House was the only tour with availability, the park ranger warned us multiple times of the streneous hike required, this is the line for the first climb, the second climb which we did not take a photo of was a lot "worse" than this, and before that there was a small cave to pass through so tight that we had to take off our backpacks and send them in front of us
